It’s lucky to have rain on your wedding day, some say. I would agree, because it made this Fishlake Mill wedding of of Lauren and Nathaniel that much more memorable.
There were quite a few bright and cheerful umbrellas, but there was a plethora of smiles and laughter to chase any hint of harsh weather away!
Lauren and Nathaniel tied the knot in October of this year, at a gorgeous venue called Fishlake Mill a windmill wedding venue.
This stunning gem set in the Doncaster countryside in South Yorkshire is a restored 18th century corn mill that was built in 1774 and restored to glory in 2008. It was the perfect backdrop for Nathaniel and Lauren’s gorgeous outdoor wedding, adding a graceful charm to the proceedings.
Fishlake Mill wedding
The overcast, windy day did nothing to dampen the spirits of Lauren and Nathaniel’s family and friends, who made the day tremendously memorable.
Nathaniel’s Mum Joanne and his Grandma Anita contributed a truly special gift: they made the fondant-draped cake and delightful cupcakes that were shared with the wedding party and guests. Each of the cupcakes was a little work of art (and delicious, too) that complemented the wedding cake perfectly.
Lauren was stunning in an Art Deco-inspired gown of ivory satin overlaid with soft tulle and silver beaded lace. The dress, by Angel Brides was perfectly set off by her rhinestone beaded peep-toe satin mary janes. She was surrounded by a bevy of beautiful women, including her lovely bridesmaids in baby blue.
Nathaniel looked handsome in a grey blueish suit and a baby blue tie that matched the bridesmaid’s dresses.
Festive paper pompoms made the tent sparkle with delightful charm, and the sweet bunting was a perfect touch. The card box and guest book artwork were the perfect way to capture well wishes to keep forever. Lauren carried beautiful dried flowers by Artisan Dried Flower Co., which was a really smart way to plan ahead and keep your wedding flowers forever!

The wedding wasn’t an over-the-top affair full of pomp and circumstance. It was a special, intimate event meant to be shared with family and friends without pretense.
The new Mr. and Mrs. sat amongst their guests rather than at a top table, and they thoroughly enjoyed their evening as they tied the knot to become Husband and Wife.
Lauren and Nathaniel had one of the most amazing weddings and I feel so fortunate to have been able to capture these memories.
I with you every happiness in the future. Congratulations!
