Due to my profession, I am often welcomed into the most important days’ of people’s lives. Whether it is an engagement party, a maternity session or a wedding, I am there from beginning to end in an attempt to capture the most important part of the day. I have worked on many weddings in my career and it no longer feels like a job as I am the lucky one to witness love before my very eyes; this situation was no different in the celebration for Sanita and Nerijus.

April was the month, 2015 the year and the couple woke up for the last time as individuals. As the pair got ready for their wedding at the Registry Office in Doncaster, the sun kept getting brighter and brighter and proved to be a photographers dream.

The Latvian-Lithuanian couple exchanged matching rings and then set off to Cusworth Hall before the reception. One of the longest Latvian-Lithuanian wedding traditions is that the new husband is to carry the wife across a bridge to symbolise the connection of two parties. This was fulfilled in the part with the sun beaming down upon all. As you can see in the pictures, the party were in full spirits with Cusworth Hall, an 18th century listed building, providing a beautiful backdrop. The sun shone all the way through the afternoon casting long shadows upon the mown green grass.

A good day was had by all and everything seemed to fall in place for the lovely couple and I wish them many years of happiness looking into the future.
