Relaxed wedding photography across Yorkshire and the UK
Looking for a Wedding Photographer Near You?
Searching for a “wedding photographer near me” usually means you want more than someone who happens to live close to your venue. You want someone reliable, easy to talk to and able to photograph your wedding without turning the whole day into one long photoshoot.
I’m based in Doncaster and photograph weddings throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and neighbouring areas. I also travel across the UK for weddings in Scotland and further afield.

A photographer who fits your plans
What Does “Near You” Really Mean?
Choosing a local wedding photographer can make planning feel easier, but distance should not be the only thing guiding your decision. Your photographer will spend a large part of the wedding with you, so you need someone whose work you love, whose personality puts you at ease and whose approach fits the celebration you are planning.
You should also feel confident that they can handle changing weather, tight timelines, dark ceremony rooms, energetic dance floors and the occasional family member who disappears precisely when the group photographs begin.
My approach is relaxed and documentary-led. I pay attention to the real moments happening around you, but I will also guide you into good light, help you feel comfortable during your couple photographs and organise family groups without letting them take over the afternoon.
The aim is simple: beautiful photographs and plenty of time for you to enjoy your wedding.

A calm experience from start to finish
Wedding Photography That Lets You Enjoy Your Wedding
Your photographs matter, but so does the experience of having them taken. You should not spend the entire day wondering where to stand, what to do with your hands or whether the photographer is about to interrupt another conversation.
Most of the time, I quietly photograph events as they happen. That gives you photographs of the atmosphere, your guests and the small interactions you may have missed while you were busy getting married.
When you need help, I will step in. I can offer guidance during your couple portraits, organise family photographs efficiently and help you plan photography timings before the wedding. I also keep an eye on the weather and available light, making small adjustments without turning your day into a military operation.
Your couple photographs can be relaxed, enjoyable and relatively quick. You will have plenty of time to return to your guests, enjoy the food and discover who has already started requesting questionable songs from the DJ.
See Complete Weddings, Not Just Highlight Photographs
A photographer’s portfolio is a good place to start, but complete wedding stories show you how they handle the whole day: preparations, ceremonies, family photographs, difficult lighting, speeches and the dance floor.
You can also learn a little more about me and the approach I bring to each wedding.
Kind Words From Real Couples
Choosing a photographer is a big decision. You are trusting someone to document moments that cannot be repeated, so it makes sense to hear from couples who have already been through the experience.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where are you based?
I am based in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. I photograph weddings throughout Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire and neighbouring areas, as well as selected weddings across the UK.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes. I regularly travel beyond Doncaster and am happy to hear about weddings elsewhere in the UK. I have photographed celebrations throughout Yorkshire, Scotland and at destination locations.
What if our town or venue is not listed?
Please still get in touch. Send your date and venue through the contact page, and I will let you know whether I am available.
Do you charge extra for travel?
This can depend on the venue, distance and photography package. Review the general options on my wedding photography prices page. Once you send your venue details, I will confirm whether any additional travel costs apply before you book.
Do you need to have photographed at our venue before?
No. Previous experience at a venue can be helpful, but it is not essential. Good wedding photography depends on understanding light, timing and people, then adapting when plans change. I can research unfamiliar venues in advance and arrive prepared.
Can we see a complete wedding gallery?
You are welcome to ask about viewing more complete wedding coverage when you enquire. You can also explore longer celebrations through my real wedding stories.
How far in advance should we contact you?
It is worth enquiring once your date and venue are confirmed, particularly for a popular Saturday. There is also no harm in asking about a wedding only a few months away because some dates remain available or become free.
What happens after we contact you?
I will reply with availability and the relevant package information. From there, we can arrange a relaxed conversation about your plans and decide whether we are a good fit.
Let’s talk about your plans
Ready to Check Your Wedding Date?
You do not need every detail organised before getting in touch. Send your names, date and venue—whether you have a complete plan or only the beginnings of one—and I will confirm availability and answer your questions.
