Natural and relaxed wedding photography in Yorkshire
I know that a wedding is one of the most important days of your life, so I want to make sure you get the best photos possible. I don’t believe in posing and forcing people into unnatural positions, instead, I like to capture your real emotions during those special time.
I believe that the most beautiful photos happen when you least expect them. That’s why I’m always ready with my camera for those spontaneous moments, as well as for the carefully-planned ones.
My goal is to capture your day in an authentic way, to make sure it’s not just something you’ll look back on but something you’ll live again and again through your photographs.
Our approach
When I talk about unobtrusive or documentary style wedding photography, I’m talking about a certain type of style that focuses on capturing the day as it unfolds in natural and candid way. I feel like this is the best way to capture the purest images of your wedding day.
You won’t feel like you have to pose or think about what you’re doing, which means you can just enjoy yourself! And in turn, it will result in some really beautiful wedding photography. I don’t want you to worry about looking at the camera for every shot. In general, my photography style is to be discreet and try to be as invisible as possible throughout the whole day. You’ll hardly notice me there. I’ll catch your expressions from afar, I’ll be watching how your friends interact with each other while they dote on you, I’ll see your parents’ faces light up as they watch you marry your spouse.
As a Yorkshire wedding photographer I want to tell a story with my photographs, rather than just take a bunch of posed wedding shots of you standing up front although I always try to take some more posed portraits on the day. It’s all about catching beauty in the everyday, which is something I think is even more important during a time like your wedding.
Where do I work?
As a wedding photographer I cover all parts of God’s Own Country. I cover weddings in Sheffield, in Leeds, Wakefield, Hull, York, Harrogate and Doncaster. I also work as a wedding photographer in Barnsley, Rotherham, Richmond you name it. Whatever the place I document weddings everywhere in Yorkshire and beyond be it a barn wedding, hotel, church or an outdoor wedding ceremony. As one of the local wedding photographers there aren’t many places in Yorkshire I haven’t visited.
